SPA Yoga Class
Join Karen, at Salt & Sand Studios. Registration is required.
SPA Yoga® is a slow-flow, floor-based, whole-body sensory experience based on Fluid Yoga sequencing and
designed to restore and relax while opening the body for the art of the possible.
The physical practice takes time to open the body’s subtle energy and prepares students to experience new
depths of awareness in an extended, guided savasana or Yoga Nidra.
Be prepared to feel like you just walked out of a SPA! These classes are ALL LEVELS, especially kind to
BEGINNERS, and 75 minutes.

Movement to Stillness
Enjoy a practice that integrates curiosity, breathwork, deep knowledge of body mechanics and a slightly extended savasana. Characterized by
the encouragement to be mindfully aware, in the present moment, and receptive to challenge and whatever sensations and emotions arise, this
60-minute class also invites you to focus inward, checking on the words you say to yourself. Unlock each asana (pose) in a way that is safe
and beneficial for where you, your mind, your heart and your body are in a given moment.
Designed for those who practice regularly or are new to yoga, returning to yoga following a break (including having healed from surgery*),
and/or are looking for a fuller/more gentle practice.
Based on a combination of Fluid Yoga (vinyasa-based breath flowing with movement, created by Kevan Gale) and the professional training
delivered by Carol Krucoff at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, along with the book/six-week program by Kimberly Carson and Carol Krucoff
for strength, flexibility and pain relief.
*If you have healed from surgery, injury or lengthy treatment/physical therapy, or are being treated for something medical, please ensure
your doctor has cleared you for exercise and/or specifically for yoga.
